Recently, China’s universities lack the platform encouraging open discussion and deliberate creating for students with lower threshold. So the theme of our design is “OPEN CAMPUS”, which will be displayed in the form of InstaBooth, the brilliant idea put forward by Ms. Glenda A. Caldwell and her team. InstaBooth promotes public engagement in community construction and encourages the public to provide suggestions in open spaces. To promote such a good idea in Chinese colleges and universities, we are working on the localization of InstaBooth.

Process
The core of Instabooth@THU is the toolkit it employs. We referred to the toolkit for Design Thinking in Stanford D. School, CMU, IDEO and other design institution and re-designed a toolkit for undergraduates in THU and China. The first version of our toolkit is as follows.

To test whether our toolkit works in the certain spot, we held a workshop with THU iCenter, a association for makers in THU, inviting students to use our toolkit.
